I moved to Brazoria County (Jones Creek) when I was 6 years old and have lived in Brazoria County since then. I currently live just north of both Lake Jackson and Richwood city limits which makes it quick and easy for me to get to areas quickly. I have adored (loved) animals since I could remember and have always had dogs and cats with an occasional raccoon, squirrel, rabbit, goose, and for a short period a skunk! I am a 60 year old Christian wife, Mom, and Grandma who has always been the one that friends and family called upon to take care of their animals. Everyone that knows me will tell you that I am a passionate animal lover. I have a special love for rescue animals... I'm very comfortable with large dogs having owned GSDs my adult life but I love the little ones too. I feel that pets give us so much more than we give them, their unconditional love amazes me... I chose to call my service "Au Pair" since I feel like I give love and attention to your pets like a nanny would instead of "just a pet sitter". Daily emails/pictures/texts or phone calls to keep you informed on conditions at your home and with your pets are part of my service. I strive to help you and your pets enjoy your vacation by caring for your home and animals with a personal touch. I believe in quality care not quantity care so I try to only book 3 or 4 clients per day. I want you and your pets to have a good experience with my service and attention to your pet's needs and routine is of importance to me. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.

Job skills come in handy
After high school I began working at Dow Chemical where I was a firefighter/EMT/security officer and later on I was an emergency services and security dispatcher (30 years). My security and emergency background will help me in my pet and housesitting as I am very observant and very comfortable if the need arises to contact your local law enforcement agency to keep your home and animals safe. My husband and I live just north of Richwood on 2.5 acres. Currently we are "owned" by our rescued German Shepherd Dog, Toya.

Working at what I LOVE
Now that I'm retired from Dow, I wanted to work in a field that I LOVE! I enjoy the company of pets and understand the special bond we can have with them. As a pet lover/owner, I just don't want my pets going to a kennel and having their life turned upside down. I worked briefly at a local kennel and quit because I knew that I wouldn't leave my pets there so how could I honestly smile and tell people their pets had a "happy stay"? I prayed about this and feel that God has led me on this pet sitting journey. I am committed to being the best pet sitter in Brazoria County! I have completed and passed a Certification course through Pet Sitters International (www.petsit.com) where I keep up with my continuous education hours to stay current in the pet care industry. Let me help you to keep your pets in their familiar environment, safe, and stress free.
